Elecon

With over 75 years of leadership, Elecon Engineering is India and Asia’s largest gear manufacturer. To add personality to its Gear Division, the agency introduced Rolly Gearry, a playful mascot designed to humanize the brand and boost recall.

Background

Elecon,is India and Asia’s largest gear manufacturer and an industrial gear leader for over seventy five years. As part of its ambitions, the brand sought to stand apart in a crowded, commoditized market—leveraging bold communication and innovative design to drive meaningful differentiation and reinforce its world-class credentials

Objective

Elecon sought to transition from a purely functional communication  to one that resonated on a higher, emotional level. The goal was to shift the brand's perception from a functional, industrial manufacturer to a future-focused, innovation-driven leader with a global outlook.

Strategy

This transformation centred on crafting a distinctive visual identity—the Elecon mascot, Rolly Gearry—designed to humanise the brand and transcend traditional, product-driven communication. By introducing Rolly Gearry, Elecon forged a memorable and relatable persona, sparking emotional engagement with stakeholders and embodying the brand’s core values.

Campaign Execution

Next, we set Rolly Gearry in motion—amplifying brand awareness through engaging multimedia campaigns, impactful factory branding, and innovative internal communications. The mascot became the voice of Elecon’s promise: championing innovation that drives efficiency, reliability, and sustainability for modern industry. Strategic partnerships with leading global media further cemented Elecon’s reputation, elevating its leadership from India to the world stage
